Do you have an innovative idea stemming from research or your education and want to take it to the next level? Penn I-Corps can help you turn your vision into reality.
What is Penn I-Corps?
Penn I-Corps is a program that teaches students and researchers how to validate their innovations ideas by conducting stakeholder interviews. You will gather feedback from at least 20 interviews, paving the way for a solid product/market fit strategy.
Why Participate in I-Corps?
Idea Validation and De-risking: By de-risking your idea, Penn I-Corps improves your chances for success in programs such as the Penn Health-Tech Medical Devices and Health Technology Development program and the Wharton Venture Initiation Program.
Startup Grants: it opens doors to eligibility for a $50,000 National NSF I-Corps grant and increases SBIR/STTR award odds.
Exclusively for Penn & CHOP Affiliates: Penn I-Corps is free and open to Penn-affiliated and CHOP-affiliated students, staff, researchers, and faculty with ideas originating from academic research.
Team Building Assistance: You don't need a full team to apply. We will help match you with like-minded individuals to form a team.
Join without an idea: This option is ideal for those who want to learn about de-risking innovations by collaborating with a team already working on a project.
Penn Faculty Benefits
The follow-on National I-Corps program provides summer stipends for students and researchers. A lab member can attend in your stead, and PCI will help to complete your team.
