Carlos Jarquin

Director of
Public Relations

Carlos Jarquin is a second-year Master of Science in Engineering student in the Integrated Product Design program, having previously completed degrees in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Biomedical Option) and a Bachelor of Design from the University of Alberta.

Outside of the classroom, he is an interdisciplinary product designer who has championed design thinking and empathic understanding over four years of professional experience across health, fintech, and startup spaces to empower communities through thoughtful interventions. In his spare time, Carlos enjoys playing board games, cheering on F1’s Scuderia Ferrari, and volunteering.

As the Director of Public Relations, Carlos works closely alongside the Operations team to ensure the GAPSA website and its social media channels provide relevant information to all graduate students.
