Jieru Shi

Jieru is a first-year MBA student at the Wharton School pursuing a major in Strategic Management. Prior to her MBA, she was a Strategy & Operations consultant specializing in strategic redesigns and process improvement. She has experience supporting federal agencies with expanding and redesigning their grants programs, including a vaccine equity program with 500+ national, state, and local funded partners. Jieru has also traveled to Costa Rica and Chile to help international nonprofits increase their impact on local communities. She currently holds active certifications in AWS and Google Coud and is PMP-certified.

Jieru is passionate about community advocacy and she recently represented the United States at the G20 Youth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During this summit, she collaborated with other G20 Youth Delegates to develop a communique with policy proposals that will be shared with G20 leaders. Jieru also serves as a University Council representative for graduate and professional students and she is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the broader Penn community. Jieru is excited to join the GAPSA team as the Director of Fund Management.
