Fiza Shahzad
Director of
Financial Reporting
Fiza Shahzad is a first-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of History at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Islam in South Asia, women’s histories, and legal histories, with a particular focus on disinheritance practices affecting Muslim women in Punjab from 1526 to the present. She holds a Master of Arts in History from Tufts University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, cum laude, from Georgetown University.
In addition to her academic work, Fiza has a strong background in leadership and financial oversight. As the Director of Financial Reporting for GAPSA, she is responsible for managing and analyzing financial reports to ensure the organization’s fiscal health, transparency, and accountability. Beyond her research and administrative roles, Fiza is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in higher education.
