Zahra Khodakarami

Zahra Khodakarami is a second-year PhD student in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. With a background in Computer Engineering, Zahra previously founded and ran a business and startup before transitioning to graduate studies. Currently, her research focuses on medical image processing, with a particular emphasis on developing imaging biomarkers to detect neurodegenerative diseases.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Zahra serves as the Deputy Director for the Inter School Partnership Fund, where she is dedicated to fostering collaboration across schools and ensuring that resources are allocated transparently and equitably. Zahra is committed to making well-informed, credible decisions that maximize the impact of the fund and support interdisciplinary initiatives.
